Minimize Outlook 2007 to Your System Tray

Posted on April 9, 2008 by Ann

Vista now refers to the System Tray as the Notification Area. Regardless of what you call it, you can minimize the space used on your task bar by quickly and easily modifying the settings of Outlook 2007 to minimize to the System Tray. This can be done with or without Outlook running.

  1. Locate the Outlook 2007 icon in the system tray/notification area
  2. Right click on the icon
  3. Select “Hide When Minimized”

The next time you minimize Outlook 2007, it will minimize itself to the system tray/notification area.
